1960, small town France. Vianne Rocher and her pre-teen daughter move into town and open a chocolate shop just as lent is beginning. The town's small-minded mayor can't accept this and does his best to shut her down, but her warm personality and incredible chocolates manage to win over many townsfolk. Things get shaken up even more when a group of river drifters, led by Roux, stop into town (to the even greater distress of the mayor) and Vianne takes up with him. Meanwhile, she's been helping Josephine out of her abusive marriage and her equally freethinking landlord, Amande Voisin, get together with her grandson, Luc, whose mother doesn't approve of Amande's ways.

Well, the Chocolat Comedy movie has a cast of top-level as the great Oscar winner Juliette Binoche, which is a single mother who arrives in a small town of La Belle France, where the rules are governed by a petty mayor. Anyway, Lena Olin plays a battered wife who is taken by the character of Binoche. Dame Judi Dench plays a widow of 70 years full of life and win an Academy Award nomination no matter what it does in the DVD movie Chocolat industry. Still, British mayor Alfred Molina plays the French. Scandinavian Lena Olin plays a key role as well. American Johnny Dep pirate who plays a rogue and his gang of vagabonds washing on the banks of the river and the nature of attracting Binoche. The Chocolat Comedy movie is fine and somewhat above average. Of course, some of which can sometimes be absurd. My favorite is the housewife that the comments about her husband's lack of interest in privacy and was played by French actress too. The movie: Chocolat is well done by Lasse Hallström, but I do not think it is Oscar worthy. America Carrie Anne Moss also has a role-playing game Dench, which prohibits the daughter of his son, knowing her grandmother. You can figure what happens.
In fact, I was rooting for "Chocolate" to win best DivX Movie Chocolat for 2000. If you're the guy who gives to the temptation, then this is the movie: Chocolat for you. Vianna Rocher (Juliette Binoche) and her daughter open a chocolate shop in a small French town where the mayor has removed all forms of happiness. But once Vianna and her daughter will start selling its chocolates, things begin to change for the better. And some people in town who do not like. "Chocolat" reminds me of "To Wong Foo, thanks for everything, Julie Newmar" ... in a good way. The idea of a stranger coming in and alter the status quo always makes a good movie. This is a film: Chocolat that neither the eyes, mouth or stomach can afford to lose.
No woman during the 1950s - even someone as unconventional as Vianna - would be voluntary, which has never been married and, therefore, your child is illegitimate. In fact, there would be the villagers Reynaud gossiped about her, but made sure Vianna Store closed before its opening, and sent packing. Armande describe shop decoration as "the beginning of a brothel in Mexico" is funny, but since we can assume that she has never been to Mexico, such an observation would not have appeared on his head. Hallström not let his players do not sound French French is not as bad as the way it treats the reality shoehorn in some fairy tale, then, as if there is too realistic fear has Reynaud get online in a way that is completely in character, and - in light of how it relates to Serge / Josephine situation - cruel and prejudice. I think it's a stretch that Henri Vianna and management to keep it to themselves. Why not listen to anybody break it? Reynaud is not the villain of the piece has to create tension and without tension, there is nothing at stake. It's just a matter of time before everyone wins Vianna - and Reynaud - more, and all is well with the world. Incidentally, the name of the people, Lansquenet, derives from the German "landsknecht" ( "the valet fiefdom"), a term applied to a mercenary, which I found interesting as Josephine's father was a Nazi informer.
It is difficult to say anything more! The message of this DivX Movie Chocolat is very simple and is evident in the first minutes. Nothing really comes to enriching along that message; potters throughout quite pleasant to the obvious ending. I found this dislike (apart from the irritating accents - the so m'sieurs and Madame were quite dubious, to what kind of mentally blocked out, but it was probably the worst of America's school Kiddies Sunday that they had no ability / made no attempt to sound a little French) but I do not excellent, either. There are so many other films that have made this sort of thing better. The sudden and quite absurd changes in personality that some of the characters are not subjected to it seems to me that makes sense in the context of the film. If it had been a bit strange, in general, these devices unreal plot could have been more credible. My best advice for this film: Chocolat would be, if the sex scenes were removed gentle, kind of like a little more mature "Madeline" for children, or perhaps young adolescents. If you like movies that are very nice, very friendly along amicably and potter, this doubt for you!
Chocolat is a good film, the kind of Chocolat Comedy movie you want to see on a Sunday afternoon. God has some action, a good story, and it is good to see, but forgettable. The script closely follows the book, so good, uplifting subplots, involving characters and a terrible end. The narration was good, and gave the DVD film Chocolat a nice tone of fairies. The characters are not very developed, sometimes they are cliches, but all the actors are excellent, so it's easy not to notice. The dialogues are okay, nothing brilliant, but not bad, either. The direction of Lasse Hallström is simple but effective, chocolate is very well shot, and almost all the rest of the DivX film Chocolat as a mere letter, without flashes of brilliance. The actors were great, though his material was not very good. Juliette Bioche is charming, with its ever-present smile and a certain sweetness that perfectly fit the role. Judy Dench was pretty good, playing its typical old humor, but she expresses her emotions in a god, and you can play. Lena Olin is perfect for the part, with the right awkwardness and pain. Johnny Depp did what he had, which is looking sexy. Peter Stormare, Carrie Ann Moss, Alfred Molina and Aurelie Koenig Parents were good with their few scenes. The only thing is bad Victoire Thivisol, who was too old for the part, even if not a bad actress. The music is pretty good, like the costumes, sets and stunning photography. Overall, pleasant and nice 7.5/10
